S&C - Newport RI - Indian PreWedding Events

When we first met S&C, we knew right away that their love story was something truly special. We had the privilege of doing their engagement session at the stunning Providence Public Library—*and* it was no ordinary photo shoot. Normally, the library doesn’t allow photoshoots, but they made a rare exception for S&C because they were both deeply involved in its restoration. Talk about a story with some serious heart! From that moment, we were beyond excited to be part of their wedding weekend and couldn’t wait to capture their big day.

As with many North Indian weddings, they kicked things off with a vibrant and heartfelt Haldi ceremony at their home. The whole house was glowing with yellow—guests, family, everyone was looking gorgeous in the sunny color. It was a day full of warmth, laughter, and joy. And then—just when we thought it couldn’t get any more fun—smoke bombs were unleashed! The playful pop of color and the way it lit up the air was the perfect way to set the tone for an epic weekend ahead.

After the Haldi, everyone switched gears to the traditional green for the Mehndi celebration. This event had such a laid-back vibe, filled with easygoing conversations, delicious food, and tons of laughter. It was such a cozy, intimate time as the couple’s closest loved ones gathered to celebrate them in a casual yet beautiful way.

Then came the Sangeet—oh man, what a night! The weather in Newport was definitely on the chillier side for an April evening, but that didn’t stop S&C from braving the winds for some absolutely breathtaking portraits on the Cliff Walk in Newport. They were true troopers, and you’d never know it was freezing because their smiles and energy were *so* warm. It was such a beautiful moment, capturing them together with the ocean breeze whipping around them, looking like they were on top of the world.

And then—the Sangeet itself. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that this crowd knows how to dance! From jaw-dropping performances to everyone on their feet, the energy was absolutely contagious. We had the best time capturing the couple’s fun, spirited vibe, and the night was filled with so much love, excitement, and, of course, some seriously epic dance moves.
